Study Program “Programming and System Administration”
We offer 4 forms of studies:
- Full Time Department
- Evening Department
- Correspondence Department
- Distance Department
Information Technologies have covered overall life of society, exerting its irreversible influence on business, professional field and private life. They have changed the habits of communication, principles of sharing information and forms of mutual relations. Despite the interim complexity, the modern information technologies are easy-to-use and therefore available for a vast number of people who are under the necessity to make use of them to satisfy their professional, educational, cultural, social, political and other needs.
Specializations:
- Programmer (Programmers – Application Engineers, Web Programmers),
- System Administrator (Web Server Administrator, Database Administrator, Network Administrator).
Studies start with the theoretical part.
Programmers – Application Engineers: nowadays practically every company is in need of automatization of its business, ability to work in the Intranet, exchange information among its branch offices and departments promptly, keep records of its products, purchases and sales in electronic form. Programmers are indispensable here; they customize and if it is necessary also develop software systems, being aware of know-how of business administration: automation of a printing house is one thing, but automation of a business firm or restaurant is another. In order to develop such business systems, programmers write applications for databases, softwares to enter and access information, etc.
Many companies are ready to employ such specialists – not only to develop and automate their businesses but also to monitor the installed systems on a long term basis and any changes during the process of company amendment. In their turn other companies prefer subcontracting some specialized IT-companies for automatization of their business. Programmers are needed here too and work is more interesting, clients change, there is a chance to work with different organizations and deal with various assignments.
Web Programming: design, upgrading and maintenance of websites; this field requires knowledge of various specialized programs (PHP, MYSQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JAVA etc.).
Program’s Volume: 80 credits
Available Forms of Studies: Full Time Department, Correspondence Department
Duration of Studies: 2 – 2.5 years
Students have lectures 4 times a week from 9:00am to 2:30pm in the Full Time Department or from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the Evening Department. Correspondence Department studies according to the following schedule: every second Saturday and Sunday – 4 times a month.
Tuition Fee in this study program is competitive and appropriate.
Entrance Examinations
There are no entrance examinations.
